Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Croydon. You will become part of a collaborative team with regular training and support provided. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and written skills, with knowledge of the primary curriculum being ideal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans alongside the class teacher
• Support low ability children both in class and in interventions
• Organise the classroom
• Prepare learning resources for students
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Communicate with parents and colleagues regarding student development
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings

Qualifications

• Strong communication and written skills
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum is ideal
• Previous experience as a Teaching assistant is ideal but not necessary

Day-to-day

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting underachieving students, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and colleagues.
