Overview

We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Level 2/Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and inclusive early years setting. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting the development and well-being of young children.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow
  • Implement a variety of educational activities, including reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
  • Support children with personal care tasks, including feeding, changing, and napping
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Observe and assess children's development, and communicate progress to parents and caregivers
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized nursery environment
  • Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification
  • Previous experience in early years support
  • Good understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the early years setting
  • Current knowledge of safeguarding practices and legislation

Day-to-day

  • Engage with children through play-based learning activities
  • Provide support and encouragement during mealtimes and outdoor play
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and well-being
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
  • Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and families
