Overview
We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to support the early childhood development of students. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare and relevant experience working in a nursery setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children.
- Support and supervise children during playtime, meals, and outdoor activities.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Observe and monitor children's progress, and communicate with parents/guardians about their development.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
- An understanding of nurturing and inclusive teaching practices.
Day-to-day
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for young children. Your day-to-day activities will involve assisting in curriculum implementation, engaging with children during play and learning activities, promoting positive behavior and social skills, and contributing to the overall well-being of the children in your care.
