Overview

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Outreach Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and diverse school community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with special educational needs and will support the implementation of the British Curriculum through engaging and inclusive teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
• Assist the teaching staff in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO and other professionals to implement personalized learning strategies
• Provide academic and emotional support to students to enhance their learning experience
• Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special educational needs is necessary
• Strong subject knowledge of the British Curriculum
• Previous experience with PPA Cover or HLTA roles is ideal
• Relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable

Day-to-day

• Work closely with SEN students in and out of the classroom to provide support and contribute to their individual development
• Collaborate with the teaching staff and other professionals to create and modify materials and resources to meet the needs of SEN students
• Provide feedback and updates to the SENCO and teaching staff on students' progress and development
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
