Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team and support students who require additional assistance in managing their behaviour. The role will include the Behaviour Mentor supporting students with behavioural needs out side the classroom along with supporting students with SEN needs with in class support. The ideal candidate must have strong behaviour management skills and experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students.
Responsibilities
- Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges, Autism and ADHD
- Implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions
- Assisting teachers in creating individualised behaviour plans for students
- Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support student's behavioural needs
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour patterns
- Helping students develop social and emotional skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in behaviour management, mentoring, or working with SEN students
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Relevant certifications or training in behaviour management or counselling is a plus
Day-to-day
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with individual students, providing them with the support and guidance they need to develop positive behavioural patterns. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create tailored behaviour plans and interventions, and monitor and assess student progress.
