Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Waltham Forest
Position Type: Full-time – 8:30am – 4pm

A fantastic primary school in Waltham forest are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP. They pride themselves with an inclusive and supportive culture and was rated ‘outstanding’ in their most recent OFSTED report. Key Responsibilities:
- Working on a 1:1 basis with key students – monitoring progress regularly
- Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects and year groups.
- Supporting student sin class who require additional help with their learning.
- Assisting with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources. - Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Promoting positive behavior and a supportive learning environment within the classroom.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative approach to education.
- Supporting the teacher in assessing student progress and providing feedback on their achievements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
- A passion for education and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners.
- Strong SEN knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings and with students of varying abilities.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required.
