Job Type: Full time - 8am - 4pm

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status and previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH requirements
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with other professionals, including SENCO, therapists, and support staff to develop personalized education plans
- Monitor and track student progress, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and carers
- Implement and adapt strategies to support students' social, emotional, and mental health development
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
- Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly SEMH
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and the ability to implement effective strategies to support student progress
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Day-to-day
The SEMH Teacher will work closely with individuals and small groups of students, providing tailored support and guidance. They will also collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment, and communicate regularly with parents and carers to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
