Speech and Language Therapy Teaching Assistant
Location: Ealing
Salary: £95 - £105 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Only

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapy Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Ealing.

The Role

As a Speech and Language Therapy Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with the class teachers, SENCO, and external speech and language therapists to implement tailored support plans for pupils with SLCN.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to enhance pupils’ communication and language skills.
  • Support pupils in the classroom to access the curriculum effectively, adapting resources as needed.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the SENCO and therapists.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to create a cohesive support network.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school or therapy setting.
  • An interest in or knowledge of speech and language development (formal qualifications are desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils and teachers in a dynamic school environment.
  • A valid DBS certificate (required).
