Position: Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Watford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Contract: Full-TimeAre you a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for supporting young learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant and welcoming primary school in Watford.
About the Role
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Lessons: Delivering pre-planned lessons across various year groups, ensuring smooth continuity in the absence of the class teacher.
- Pupil Support: Providing tailored support to groups and individual pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and well-structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborative Planning: Working closely with teaching staff to plan and adapt lessons, contribute to curriculum delivery, and support diverse learner needs.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with marking, record-keeping, and other classroom-related tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience: Proven experience as a HLTA or similar role in a primary school setting.
- Qualifications: HLTA status or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- DBS Clearance: A current Enhanced DBS check is essential.
- Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Adaptability: A flexible approach to working with different year groups and supporting a wide range of learning needs.
