Intervention Teaching Assistant (Year 2 and Year 4)
Location: Camden
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 3:45 pm)
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Intervention Teaching Assistant to support Year 2 and Year 4 students in a vibrant, Ofsted 'OUTSTANDING' primary school in Camden. This role focuses on delivering tailored interventions to small groups and individuals, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver effective interventions for students in Year 2 and Year 4.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, with a particular focus on students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting confidence and independence in all students.
- Monitor and track student progress, reporting to teachers and the SENCo as required.
- Support the day-to-day learning and development needs of students in line with the school’s policies.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- A valid DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to obtain one prior to starting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
Desirable Qualities:
- Knowledge of strategies to support literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
- Familiarity with intervention programs or resources designed for primary-aged children.
