Overview
We are seeking a responsible and proactive Facilities Assistant to join a supportive and hardworking team. The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for supporting the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
- Perform regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all facilities
- Assist with setting up and breaking down facilities for events and meetings
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment
- Help with the coordination of external contractors for larger maintenance projects
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities role is preferred
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition for lifting and carrying heavy objects
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Day-to-day
As a Facilities Assistant, your day-to-day activities will involve performing maintenance tasks, ensuring cleanliness and organization, coordinating with external contractors, and assisting with setting up facilities for events and meetings. You will also be responsible for monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to maintain the overall functionality of our facilities.
