Job Type: Full time, 8am - 4pm
Location: Merton
Salary: £150- £200 per day *Depending on experience
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Class Teacher to join a Primary School in Merton teaching a enthusiastic class of year 3 students. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and nurturing learning environment, using a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote their academic and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of the students
- Create a supportive and respectful classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour and mutual respect
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and learning resources
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of every student, and provide individualized support where necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to provide regular updates on student progress and well-being
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Proven experience in teaching and managing a diverse classroom
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the school community
Day-to-day
As a Class Teacher, you will greet students each morning, review lesson plans, engage in team meetings, deliver engaging lessons, provide individualized support to students, communicate with parents, and participate in various school activities and events.
