Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Hanwell, Ealing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive early years setting? We are seeking a full-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant nursery in Hanwell, Ealing. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children, supporting their development and learning in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.

• Assist in planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

• Provide one-to-one and group support to children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development.

• Use Makaton to support communication with children who have additional language needs.

• Lead Bucket Time activities to promote attention and listening skills.

• Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

• Assist with personal care, including feeding and toileting, when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support children's progress.

• Monitor and record children's development, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

• Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s well-being.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Nursery Teaching Assistant or in a similar early years role.

• Knowledge and experience of Makaton and Bucket Time.

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (preferred but not essential).

• A passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.

• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
