Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Hanwell, Ealing
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: ASAPAre you a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive early years setting? We are seeking a full-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant nursery in Hanwell, Ealing. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young children, supporting their development and learning in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
Assist in planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Provide one-to-one and group support to children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development.
Use Makaton to support communication with children who have additional language needs.
Lead Bucket Time activities to promote attention and listening skills.
Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Assist with personal care, including feeding and toileting, when necessary.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support children's progress.
Monitor and record children's development, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s well-being.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Nursery Teaching Assistant or in a similar early years role.
Knowledge and experience of Makaton and Bucket Time.
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (preferred but not essential).
A passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
