Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced History Teacher to join a Secondary School in Newham. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching History and other humanities subjects, as well as a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging History lessons that adhere to the curriculum and educational standards
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and educational programs
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities

Qualifications

• Valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Proven experience teaching History or other humanities subjects
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and educational best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential

Day-to-day

As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing support and guidance to students as they explore the complexities of history. You will collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills.
