Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join a committed faculty. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in psychology or a related social science subject. As a Psychology Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and guiding students to develop a deep understanding of the human mind and behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in psychology, tailored to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students reach their full potential in both academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of the psychology curriculum and teaching methods.
- Implement a variety of assessment methods to effectively evaluate student progress and achievement.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
- Prior experience teaching psychology or another social science subject at the secondary level.
- A degree in psychology or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the classroom and the school community.
Day-to-day
- Leading interactive classroom discussions on various topics within psychology.
- Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance.
- Planning and organizing resources for engaging and thought-provoking practical activities related to psychology.
- Collaborating with other educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Taking an active role in supporting the well-being and personal development of students, in addition to their academic progress.
