Job Title: English Teacher

Job Type: Full time - 8am - 4pm

Location: Croydon

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to join an inclusive and diverse school community. The ideal candidate will be experienced teaching KS3 and KS4 with a strong understanding of the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and respected
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies for student success
• Actively participate in the school's inclusivity initiatives and foster a culture of respect and understanding

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching English to students from Year 7 to Year 13
• A strong understanding of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds

Day-to-day

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons
• Assessing and providing feedback on student work
• Collaborating with colleagues to support student learning and well-being
• Participating in professional development opportunities to further enhance teaching skills and inclusivity practices
