Job Title: Nursery Assistant

Job Type: Full time, 8am - 6pm

Location: Hackney

Salary: £100-£130 a day

Overview

We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Nursery Assistant. The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Early Years qualification and a passion for working with young children. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children in a warm and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities for children
• Providing a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow
• Collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure a positive and inclusive experience for all children
• Supporting the lead teacher in observing and monitoring children's progress and behavior
• Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment
• Promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in all interactions with children and families

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• First Aid and Safeguarding training (desirable)

Day-to-day

• Engaging in play-based activities and educational games with children
• Supporting children with personal care routines
• Assisting in meal times and snack times
• Communicating with parents and caregivers about their child's day
• Organizing and tidying the learning environment
