Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Midday Meal Cleaner to join a collaborative team and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the students in a school in Tower Hamlets. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to promoting a clean and hygienic eating area.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and eating areas before and after midday meals
• Empty and clean waste bins
• Sweep and mop floors to ensure a tidy and safe environment
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks as needed
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, but experience in a similar role is ideal
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Understanding of basic hygiene practices
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and standing for long periods

Day-to-day

As a Midday Meal Cleaner, you will start your day by preparing the dining area for the midday meals, ensuring that all surfaces are clean and sanitary. Throughout the day, you will maintain the cleanliness of the eating area, empty waste bins, and assist the kitchen staff with basic cleaning tasks. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and safe environment for our students during their meal times.
