Description

Position: Part-Time Tutor
Location: Mainstream Primary School, Brent
Hours: 2 hours per week (1 hour each on 2 flexible days, Monday to Thursday)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Tutor to join our vibrant mainstream primary school in Brent. The successful candidate will work with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing tailored support in Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of a child with ASD.
  • Focus on building confidence and supporting the child in core subjects, Maths and English.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the school’s SEN team to adapt learning materials and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience and confidence working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly ASD.
  • Proficiency in teaching Maths and English at a primary level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate (Disclosure and Barring Service).
  • Passion for supporting children’s development and well-being.

Working Hours:

  • 2 hours per week: 1 hour each on 2 flexible days (Monday to Thursday). Specific timings to be agreed upon.
