Overview
We are seeking a proactive and hardworking Facilities Officer to join a Secondary School. The Facilities Officer will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, minor repairs, and equipment maintenance
- Coordinating with external vendors and contractors for larger maintenance projects
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing inventory of supplies and equipment
- Responding to facility-related emergencies and resolving issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care taking position or facilities officer role
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Day-to-day
