Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join our vibrant school community. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that are engaging and inclusive for all students
- Develop and implement age-appropriate physical education curriculum in line with national standards
- Organize and oversee sports activities, competitions, and events within the school
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters students' physical, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall well-being and academic success of students
- Assess and track students' progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential
- Support the school's commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of physical education
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required
- Previous experience teaching physical education, with a strong understanding of best practices in the field
- Knowledge of national curriculum standards for physical education and a commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the school community
Day-to-day
- Lead PE lessons for various age groups, incorporating a range of sports and activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate sports days, inter-school competitions, and extracurricular activities
- Communicate with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and encourage their involvement in PE initiatives
- Utilize assessment data to inform lesson planning and provide targeted support to students with varying abilities
- Stay current with developments in physical education and sports pedagogy, and integrate new ideas into teaching practices
