Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate QTS SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive SEN knowledge and previous experience in a similar SEN teacher position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth for all students.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to support the holistic development of students with SEND.
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of students with SEND.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field of special education and incorporate best practices into teaching strategies.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Previous experience in a similar SEN teacher position is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and a commitment to creating an accessible learning environment for all students.
Day-to-day
As a QTS SEND Teacher, you will work closely with individual students, small groups, and the whole class to provide tailored support and guidance. You will collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other colleagues to ensure that the educational needs of students with SEND are met. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in professional development activities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of special education. Your work will contribute to the overall ethos of our school as an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
