Job Title: PE Teacher
Job Type: Full Time, 8am-4pm
Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: Competitive, Based on experience
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher to join our team and contribute to the physical education and well-being of students in the Lambeth area. This position requires someone with previous experience in teaching PE and who holds a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality and engaging physical education lessons to students of all levels
- Develop and implement curriculum that promotes physical activity, health, and sportsmanship
- Organize and supervise sports events, clubs, and extracurricular activities
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support for improvement
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes teamwork
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of students
- Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and best practices in physical education
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred
- Previous experience teaching physical education is essential
- Strong knowledge of sports, fitness, and health-related topics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in physical activities
- Commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in education
Day-to-day
- Engaging students in various physical activities such as team sports, fitness exercises, and recreational games
- Providing individualized support and guidance to students to improve their physical abilities
- Collaborating with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into the overall school curriculum
- Supervising students during physical activities and ensuring their safety and well-being
- Communicating with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns
- Participating in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of physical education
