Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join a fantastic secondary school as the Head of Business Studies. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and extensive experience in teaching Business Studies across Key Stage 3 (KS3) to Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Studies department, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching strategies to promote student learning and achievement
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies across KS3 and KS4
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of educators
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within the school environment
