Overview

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to effectively convey English language concepts and skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the English curriculum, as well as participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Previous experience teaching English, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of English language and literature, including grammar, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
• Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Day-to-day

As an English teacher, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student work, providing feedback, and collaborating with other educators to enhance the curriculum.
