Overview:

We are seeking a creative and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join a Secondary School in Newham. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status and a strong passion to draw out students creativity in in Design and Technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging D.T lessons in line with the curriculum including; Wood Work and Textiles
• Support and inspire students to explore and develop their practical skills
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Provide constructive feedback to students on their work and progress
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Design and Technology
• Strong understanding of current educational practices and strategies
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom

Day-to-day:

As a D.T Teacher, you will spend your days planning and delivering engaging lessons, providing feedback to students, and collaborating with colleagues to support the overall development of the Design and Technology department. You will also have the opportunity to inspire students to explore and develop their practical skills, fostering a love for creativity and innovation.
